Friedrich Dessauer Award 2025 for Lorenz Auth
Our dual-study student Lorenz Auth has been awarded the Friedrich Dessauer Award 2025 by Fulda University of Applied Sciences for his bachelor’s thesis.
The award recognizes outstanding academic achievements with a high degree of practical relevance, innovative strength, and research orientation.
The bachelor’s thesis was completed at POMA Systems at the end of 2024.
Lorenz is currently already working on his master’s thesis 💪
In his bachelor’s thesis, he modernized an existing test bench used for measuring material pressure regulators.
Among other things, the system was:
• migrated from a SIMATIC S7-300 to an S7-1500
• integrated into a shared TIA Portal project
• extended with automated system tests
In addition, he optimized test protocols, measurement chains, and the traceability of measurement results — with the goal of significantly improving measurement reliability and usability.
A well-deserved award for a technically demanding and practice-oriented project 💪
